0 Gauge Layout

This is a very large O Gauge Club layout

The main line circuit of the O Gauge layout is double track, with a fiddle yard at the back.
A through station with platform loops and bays is located at the front of the layout.
A branch line leads off from the main line at the layout’s back corner and travels steadily downhill along the layout’s front to a terminus at the other end.

A reversing loop runs through the middle, providing access to a small goods yard, a diesel depot and a steam locomotive depot. Road tankers are loaded into a small oil storage depot that is accessible from the goods yard.
The coaling, watering facilities, & turntable, are located in the steam loco depot.

Although the diesel depot is integral to the main layout it is also a stand-alone layout which can be removed and taken to other Model Railway Exhibitions.

The main station has 3 through platforms, 2 bay platforms, a Mail/Parcels platform, a freight yard which deals with mineral trains.
On the other side of the hall we have a terminus station which has 3 platforms with a goods yard, loco depot and carriage sidings.

The layout can be operated on both DC and DCC controls.
At present the layout is split into 3 sections, that is the UP MAIN, DOWN MAIN and BRANCH.

All controls and electrics are slowly being upgraded with new control panels

The track is mostly Peco Streamline with some Marcway points. The point motors are Tortoise.

The scenery is mostly complete although details are still being added.
